Kick That Funk!
Sick as a dog. That's how I was all day yesterday. It was really bad. See, I got it from my wife & daughter, who were both sick last week. Well, Kelly's still trying to kick that funk.
Yech, I hate being sick. I think that men, as a general characteristic, have a lower threshold of pain and suffering than women. However, I think that men, as a general characteristic, tend to have a higher constitution for recovery. I was sick from Sunday night until this morning, about 36 hours. Kelly's been sick since middle of last week, complained WAY less, and is still getting over it.
Anyway, I'm feeling better now, thanks. And methinks I'll be heading into work tomorrow, finally.
Of course, I might have to walk.
It snowed a few inches, and the whole town is paralyzed. Now, readers of this text might say to themselves, "Self, I can't believe how some people have a problem driving in a few inches of snow. We get xyz inches of snow every year!" Well, sure. We don't. We don't expect snow, so we don't get studded tires. Or have a good governmental response to snow. Or have much experience driving in it. So lay off a bit, kay? Sheesh.
So I'm working on changing some language now. I've been saying "damn" for a few years now, and Sophie's picking it up. Yikes, that is really disturbing. So I'm retraining myself to say "crikey" and "criminy".
Anyway, we got some movies for Snow Day: Port Townsend - The Snow Storm of 2004 (A Few Good Inches of Snow). I think we'll go watch Toy Story II. Ooh, and make some cocoa. Hot cocoa and a movie on a snow day.
