Roughly two more weeks and I'll have a second child.

Amazing. I can't believe it's so close. Now that we're in this final stretch, I'm feeling a little panicky. Are we prepared? Is there something we forgot to buy, or something in our house we should clean?
In making-a-living news, I was down at Skookum's Bremerton office yesterday. I was on my way down the hall to get to a computer that needed Win2k SP4, when I literally stumbled onto a large group of coworkers gathered around, praying. I paused for a moment, thinking "What's the appropriate way to act? How do I join/backout without looking foolish?" I stood there for a second, then bowed my head and brushed past. They were saying a memorial prayer for a coworker who had died of a stroke on Tuesday. Apparently he suffered it last week, and after watching him get worse and worse on life support, they gradually removed him from life support.
That's the same thing I saw back in '02 with Kelly's grandma. It's really sad. My heart goes out to the family, some of whom also work at Skookum.
