Driving Nels around (can you believe the chappy is 3 months old already? ¡zoiks!), and we had the fortune to collect a few more SSIDs (see wardriving, below). They're more interesting.
In Uptown PT, we have MARTINNET (Fort Warden area), qnetwork (Fort Warden area), Apple Network ebd8fc (Fort Warden area), plus a few ACTIONTEC's, defaults, and linksys's. Over in New Town PT, I've run into pooka (on Discovery somewhere), NETGEAR (corner of 9th and Grant; great connection!), and the same ACTIONTEC's, linksys's, and defaults. Off Sims coming down the hill from QFC is a good strong connection named The6BlackCats. I love that name. If I ever get my own SSID, I'll name it something similar.
In Sophie news, we've got a few milestones. The wee child has made her first significant deposit in her potty chair; about two drops worth. Big news for us, since we're not really pushing the potty training issue. We set up the potty once she showed an interest, and then got a few potty training books (See Sally. See Sally Sit. See Sally Pee. See Sally flush.) I'm pretty happy with our progress, even though some other parents seem to think that you should ram this issue down the child's throat. Sorry, guys; I want to have fond memories of my kids growing up, not stress. Slow is just fine with me.
The other news is that she finally named our fish. We've had a fish tank for about 6 months now. The current lineup (yes, it's like Survivor in there) is two goldfish, one plecostimus, and a guppy. Sophie has named the fish. The plecostimus is called FishTank, the guppy is House, and the goldfish? Grandma and Other Grandma.
