One Hundred Miles Away

Wrote a song with my son again today. I played his toy uke & did a track of tamborine (also a toy, this one hot pink!). He did the vocals & a guitar track we ran through an effects box.

Another song for 5090. I tried a few times to get Sophie & Nels to participate on this one, but they weren’t very interested. So this is a solo work. It’s basically a sketch about my kids coming of age in the face of global warming, or rather, what a hot world they may be living in.

This summer, Nelsie, Sophie, & I are participating in 5090. It’s a songwriting contest. You can read all about it here, and my reaction here.

This song is called Property, by Ralph & Nels Hogaboom. Just a regular jam is all.

I tried to do this song as an instrumental piece, as though it belonged in a movie soundtrack. The tapping is the water dripping out our basin faucet when I woke this morning.
